The
Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and
Universities (MAPCU) Scholarship Programme is
a prestigious and comprehensive plan offered to
students of Private Colleges in Malaysia. It is
aimed at academically deserving and needy students,
providing them the opportunity of a private education.
Eligibility
Requirements
Applicants must:
be
Malaysian citizens.
possess
good academic results in SPM/'O' Level,
UEC and/or STPM/'A' Level examinations
or equivalent.
qualify
to gain admission to the participating
institution for the relevant course.
be
active in sports and/or co-curricular
activities.
possess
leadership qualities and be self-motivated.
be
financially deserving.
not
already be in receipt of any scholarships,
financial aid or award from other educational
institutions or organizations.
abide
by the terms and conditions of the NST-MAPCU
Scholarship Programme
abide
by all other terms and conditions of the
awarding institution, including any bond
required.
Terms
and Conditions
The
scholarship shall be in the form of full
tuition fee waiver for the entire duration
of the course in Malaysia.
The
scholarship is for students to pursue
courses at the participating institution.
The
scholarship shall be for the duration
of the course and maybe between one to
four years. Students already enrolled
at participating institutions may also
apply. Such students' scholarship shall
be for the remaining part of their course.
The
NST-MAPCU Scholarship holder shall not
receive any scholarship offered by other
educational institutions or organisations.
On
all matters pertaining to NST-MAPCU Scholarship,
the decision(s) of NST-MAPCU Scholarship
Awarding Committee (and relevant participating
institution, as appropriate) shall be
final and binding.
Applicants
may apply for scholarships to a maximum
of two institutions, but are entitled
to only one scholarship.Scholarship recipients
are also subject to other terms and conditions
as may be decided by the participating
institutions.
Terms
and conditions of the NST-MAPCU Scholarship
may be modified and amended from time
to time as deemed appropriate by the NST-MAPCU
Scholarship Awarding Committee.
Scholarship
holders must pass all examinations and
maintain good academic standing; participate
in the institution's sports, co-curricular
and other activities in order to maintain
their scholarship status in the participating
institution.
The
NST-MAPCU Scholarship Awarding Committee
and participating institutions reserve
the right to review scholarships awarded
on a yearly basis. In exceptional cases
scholarships may be withdrawn at anytime
in the event of gross misconduct or failure
to meet the required academic grades.
The
information, especially relating to courses
and programmes, in this and other relevant
documents are correct at the time of publication.
Applicants should enquire from participating
institutions for any updated information.
In
the event the student withdraws from the
course in Malaysia before completion,
them participating institution may require
the student to reimburse the full tuition
fees waived.
Successful
applicants shall sign the offer letter
for the scholarship and/or acceptance
form.
Applicants
shall not at anytime during the course,
hold any other scholarships, awards etc
except with the express written consent
from the participating institutions.
Applicants
should be or are deemed to be aware of
the details of the course(s) applied for
and also the terms and conditions of the
scholarship and all rules and regulations
governing the said course(s).
