Sri
Maha Mariamman Temple Situated
edge of Chinatown in Jalan Bandar, Kuala
Lumpur. Founded in 1873 it is the oldest
Hindu temple in the city. In 1968, new structure
was built, featuring the ornate 'Raja Gopuram'
tower in the style of South Indian temples.
Sri
Mariamman Temple
Built in 1883, this is the oldest Hindu
temple in Penang which features fascinating
sculptures of gods and goddesses over its
main entrance and facade. Housed within
its ornately decorated interior is the priceless
statue of Lord Subramaniam embellished with
gold, silver, diamonds and emeralds. The
statue figures prominently in the annual
Thaipusam festival when it is borne on a
silver chariot though the city streets to
the temple.
Batu
Caves, Kuala Lumpur
Batu Caves the most famous temple in Malaysia
situated 12 kilometer drive out of Kuala
Lumpur. The cave is over 400 meters long
and 120 meters high. The temple was discovered
in 1892 and the caves have become an important
place for people of the Hindu religion and
fascinates visitors throughout the world.
A daunting 272 steps lead up to these large,
natural, underground chambers. Every year,
on Thaipusam, as many as 800,000 devotees
and visitors throng the caves. As a form
of penance or sacrifice, many of them carry
kavadis.
Sri Perumal Temple
Sri Perumal Temple is situated at 11½
th mile, Jalan Puchong in Pusat
Bandar Puchong. This temple has been in
existence for more than 100 years. The Temple
was formed in the 19th century to cater
for the small community within the Castlefield
Estate. The temple management has faced
three (3) court proceedings against demolition/shifting
of the temple. With God's blessing, the
temple management has successfully overcome
these obstacles.

Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple
One of the first Hindu temples built in
the country at the turn of the century.
It was built in 1781 on the plot given by
the Dutch. If you have a fascination for
old temples, you may like to visit this
temple which is situated at the junction
between Jalan Tukang Emas and Jalan Hang
Kasturi in Malacca.

Named Sri Maha Munieswarar, this temple
is located in Acob Estate, Kapar, Selangor.It
was built in year 1920.
Devi Sri Periyachi Amman Temple
This temple located in Penang. In 1948 Jalan
Mengkuang Road was still an estate and a
group called ‘Samarasa Sangeeta Kosthikal’
built this temple here in 1976.
