Prabhu Deva who is acting in Alibabavum 9 Thirudargalum, the film is the remake of the Telugu film, Antharu Dongulu Thirigithey which ran in more than 200 theaters successfully in Andhra Pradesh. Kiran, Ankeetha (new face), Brahmanandham, Kovai Sarala and Aali are acting in the film. It is a full-length comedy being produced by T.Bhaskar for Bhaskar Creations. Recently, the shootings of the film were taken in Hyderabad, Udupi, Vizag.

The Tamil Nadu Film Distributors Association which met at the Chennai Cosmopolitan Club has decided to allow the release of Sullan immediately after their negotiations with the director and father of actor Dhanush, Kasthuriraja. In the meeting a decision was taken to release the film Dreams in September. The association also contributed Rs.2 lakh towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund for Kumbakonam fire victims.
Simbu has been signed by Kalaipuli Thanu for his next project Thotti Jaya. The producer is still waiting for the actor’s call sheets, who is at present busy giving the final touches to his much awaited Manmadhan.
