Negeri
Sembilan,located in the
central region of Peninsular Malaysia,
is bordered in the north by Selangor,
in the east by Pahang and in the south
by Melaka and Johor. Covering a total
area of 6,645 sq km, the land comprises
picturesque valleys and plains amidst
undulating hills and mountains. As the
Titiwangsa mountain range of the Peninsula
tapers down towards the interiors of Johor,
the mountainous and forested terrain of
the eastern part of the Negeri Sembilan
gradually give way to the gentler, undulating
rubber and oil palm plantations of the
west region.

Every
town in Malaysia has a green lung, and
Seremban's is particularly lovely. Two
lakes situated amidst a gentle expanse
of landscaped greenery add a refreshing
respite from the heat. Cultural shows
are held on a floating stage on one of
the lakes. Overlooking the Seremban
Lake Gardens is the State
Mosque, with its nine pillars symbolising
the nine districts of the State.

The Ulu
Bendul Recreational Park located
some 16 km from Seremban on the Kuala
Pilah Sri Menanti route, at the foot
of Bukit Angsi provides a welcome and
cool respite to travelers. The park
is one of six recreational parks in
Negeri Sembilan developed for eco-tourism.

Port

popular with Klang Valley residents
as a weekend retreat for those seeking
a temporary escape from the hustle
and bustle of a hectic city life. It
offers a wide range of water-based
activities such as kayaking, jet skiing,
windsurfing and fishing. Its water
is a bit shallow at some places, but
is still interesting enough to swim
in.
