Pahang is the largest state in Peninsula Malaysia and covers an area of 35,960 square kilometre. It lies on the east coast and has a population of about one million people.Vast stretches of primeval rainforests dominate the state and from part of Taman Negara of the National Park.All the main hill resorts are found here as is Peninsulas Malaysia's highest peak, Gunung Tahan, which poses a challenge to avid mountaineers.
